COMMUNITY REACH

We serve Kayunga District in the central Uganda, In 2012, the district population was estimated at about 358,700 people.
EMPLOYMENT

BESO has provided jobs to over 100 people both full-time and casual workers.
EDUCATION IMPACT

The BESO Foundation established three schools; Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Schools in Wanteete Village. The Schools are ranked top in 300 Primary and secondary schools in Kayunga District.

660 brightest but poor children receive free quality nursery, Primary and Secondary education.

80% of the supported children pass a literacy and numeracy test at our own Kindergarten and Lower Primary School

98% student completion rate compared to 32% national completion rate.

100% pass rate at National examinations at St.Mark Primary school.

100 casual laborers employed from the community at the school annually.

2,016 learning outcomes improved through BESO's Teacher Training and Capacity Building Initiative in Kayunga District
LIVELIHOODS IMPACT

500+ acres cultivated, 1000 tons of food produced.

6,141+ beneficiaries reached from 948 families.

70% increase in savings in households as a result of Micro credits to women Saving groups.

10 Village Savings and Loan association groups have been formed making a total of 800 members.

We have facilitated immunization of over 16,134 children in Kayunga District.

Over 600 pregnant mothers enabled to deliver with the support of a qualified a health worker
